Michael Jackson father, Joe Jackson said Sunday that the family was still working on funeral arrangements and had nothing to announce yet. His family was meeting over the weekend to discuss the Pop Star's wish to be buried at his now dilapidated Neverland Ranch.
The main obstacles are the lack of permit for a burial on the private estate and resistance from the local council, which says the two-lane road into Neverland Ranch could not cope with a massive influx of traffic. The alternative is Los Angel’s Forest Lawn Cemetery, where film legends such as Humphrey Clark Gable, Jean Harlow, and Bogart are buried.
From Los Angeles Coroner’s Office, Michael Jackson’s body has been released. Although a full report is expected to take several weeks, the initial indication is that there was no foul play. His family has had his body taken to a private mortuary for privacy reasons.
